First book I can ever remember. I loved the life out of this book when I was a kid.

Preschool says the kiddo read this book 4 times in one day with them. I'm going to buy the kindle version for him to help deal with being away from family while at preschool.
There are several aspects of the story I have not liked in the past and therefore did not read it to C, but I'll re-evaluate after I read it again.

Upon rereading this, I realized [b:Bell Hammers|48731251|Bell Hammers|Lancelot Schaubert|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1573378248l/48731251._SX50_.jpg|74096314] is merely a glorified, extended retelling of this story starring men. So there's that, I guess. Apparently it was important to me growing up.
