Nice artwork, utterly ridiculous story. But then I am not the intended audience and I am an adult who knows that birds don't work in the way portrayed here. I think that is why I found it frustrating more than anything else.

This was my absolute favorite book as a toddler, why? Nobody knows, but I wore out 2 copies, and my Momma could recite it in her sleep...I also had more than one cousin convinced I could read by the age of 28 months because I had this book memorized. At 37, I still love this gem.
