I feel like this should be a must read for everyone - introverts and extroverts alike. Especially useful for managers, teachers, parents. Provides very valuable insight on how to best gauge, approach, value and interact with the people in your life.

NOTE: Not the best audiobook.... I found my mind wandering from time to time.

A really good book that centres introversion and the power introverts hold in certain situations that often goes overlooked because of how corporations, businesses, and even schools prize sociability and gregariousness, thinking that a social person equates to a good, honest person with leadership qualities when this is, in fact, not the case all the time. Really made me consider the power I hold and what I can contribute from my own introversion and focus on contemplation as well as how introverts and extraverts can harmonise with each other to bring a holistic approach to situations, whether personal, business, familial, romantic, or otherwise.

This book changed my view on people. I think anyone could benefit wildly from reading it, regardless of your tendency towards extroversion or introversion. It gave me "bing!"-insight into why I think/do the things I do and why other people in my life behave as they do, and how both personality types can compliment the other, if each is given a supportive environment.

She nails it on the world of public education being centered on the extrovert ideal. Her ideas and observations have since changed the way I teach, and they continue to morph me into a better educator.

I feel very grateful for having read this book and exceedingly grateful to Susan Cain for writing it. Bravo.

Incredibly comforting, I read and also listened to the Audiobook version whilst starting my new job throughout 2021.
As a proud introvert I can hold my head high, knowing the more subtle value I do and can bring to personal and professional dynamics. Partial to sitting at the back of the meeting room, listening but not contributing, I have a new found confidence in offering a considered opinion; recognising that the first one to speak is often not the one to listen to.

Perspective changing! Helps me appreciate the value and beauty of introversion more and, I hope, be more aware of when I overvalue extroversion-- especially in myself and friends.

Great book, well researched, and super readable

I’ve always been an introvert and this book makes me feel less weird for preferring books to crowds. I love people but do best in small groups. I used to think myself anti-social but no, I’m just an introvert.
