Delightful! No one is perfect, no one is right or wrong and no one really knows how things will turn out. Everyone is just moving through life being themselves, doing what they can to make it all work.
A sweet (and rather salty) slice of life story. Really love what this author brings!

The only thing I enjoyed about this book is roasting Jane whenever she talks about Duncan.
Easy book to read, doesn't mean it's good. The treatment of Jimmy throughout this book was pitiful or maybe Jane constantly feeling responsible for him and not seeing him as a person was disrespectful. Duncan at least saw him as a person that he enjoyed being around. The person who saw the most potential in him, unfortunately was the one that ripped him off. I didn't understand Gary, did he have a disability or dementia, because that's how the character was written. And why did Duncan and Jane need to get married because Jimmy had to sell his house? I didn't find characters "quirky", just intrusive, rude, annoying.

I laughed out loud at some parts, but other times it felt a little slow.

This book was so boring but what’s worse is the descriptions of a special needs character! “The smile made you realize how handsome he’d have been if he were born a little smarter.” WHATTT?? How was that published?

It should have been DNF but I did push through til the end. It covered the mundane simplicities of small town life but in the most boring way possible. There was no plot. I did chuckle as some of the snarky commentary but that seemed rather unrealistic.
