I love Roald Dahl and there are some things that were great about this short story. I thought the illustrations were fun, and I loved the irreverence. He describes his grandmother as having "pale brown teeth and a small puckered-up mouth like a dog's bottom." But this is just a short story. Too little to be all that interesting.

Not my favorite Roald Dahl book. I felt George was just as sinister as Grandma, but Dahl always likes the dark side!

SpoilerJust yes :)

Although it's kinda whack he just killed his Grandma.

Didn't dislike this book but it's one of Dahl's more overtly mean-spirited children's books.

While it isn't my favorite of Dahl's books, I did find George's Marvellous Medicine to be quite enjoyable. The initial list of ingredients almost made me laugh, even. It read like one of those point-and-click adventure games of the 1980s and 90s at that part. Sadly, the back end doesn't quite measure up to the standards the front end set, but the ending itself was ultimately quite satisfying. I would definitely recommend it.
