Rereading childhood favorites is so special.
I love Roald Dahl, I have from the moment I first read this very book about twenty years ago.
I remember having this as my Gr.6 required reading and Ioving it to bits. I believe this was the book that converted me to read English after it I switched over and now I struggle to read my mother tongue.
This book is so awesome, pick it up now you won't be disappointed.

Read this to my daughter as her bedtime story.
We both love this story. It is a great Roald Dahl story. The good guys are really good, and the bad guys are deeply unpleasant! :)
George's Grandma is horrid, bossy, judgmental and mean. She takes medicine, but, as far as George is concerned, it clearly isn't helping because she is still the mean old harridan.
So George decides to make his own medicine. He runs around the house gathering ingredients from all over the house. Everything from paint to toothpaste.
And the results are indeed marvelous.
