A real Classic. I get dickens now. Ok yes, the last 1/4 wasn't as good as the first half but the first half is soooo good. The childhood sections are amazing. Literally classic.

Besides frequent long-winded digressions, Dickens paints an impressive and often times humorous picture of Victorian London, including a wide cast of memorable Characters such as Uriah Heep, Steerforth and Betsy Trotwood. Took me a while to get through but I‘m glad I stuck with it.

Took a long time to read but enjoyed every second of it. Always multiple interesting plots going on, which tied together extremely nicely at the end. Also very well written, though it took some time to get used to the old language.
