This was such an exciting addition to the Royal Rose Chronicles! It was fast paced and full of adventure! I loved all the twists and turns this book took and the cliff hanger was absolutely perfect! Cannot wait to see what happens next!

CWs: death, imprisonment, drowning, kidnapping

This was a wild ride and I really enjoyed reading it. I’m dying to find out what happens next especially after the betrayals and revelations at the end.
The pacing was really good in this one. The main plot moved well, and the subplots helped the main plot but in a way that didn’t feel obvious. I enjoyed the addition of Emric’s POV along with Emme’s and Arn’s. We also got Ontario’s POV occasionally.
The dynamics of character relationships have been altered so much after the events of book one, and I really liked seeing them change more in this book. New secrets come to light, and there is so much betrayal. The characters’ emotions come across really well, and I was almost in tears near the end.

High stakes, swashbuckling adventure, twists that made me gasp out loud, Soft™ romance, mermaids, assassination plots, cursed islands, this was exactly what I hoped it would be and I had so much fun reading it. 🙌 Four stars from me!

🏴‍☠️You can never trust a pirate.🏴‍☠️
Just finished Silver Bounty, book two in the Royal Rose Chronicles by @victoria_mccombs This book picks up right at the cliffhanger in book 1 and takes us through just as many twists and turns with our rag tag crew of pirates. Told through various POV's, we get to delve deeper into the world and learn more about the side characters desires. We also were introduced to a new character Raven and I hope more of her back story is discussed in book 3.

For fans who love young adult pirate fantasy that are fast paced, a little romantic, and  full of magic.

Thank you to @enclavepublishing @victoria_mccombs and @bookofmatchesmedia for the arc.

I very rarely enjoy the second book in a series as much as the first book, however this one exceeded my expectations in the best way.

The good:

I again had so much fun reading this book, just like the first one. Sometimes I want to read a book that will make me cry or sit on the edge of my seat and other times I want a book that will have me hooked and thoroughly entertained, this one was the latter – a truly swashbuckling adventure!

I really struggled with the relationship between Arn and Emme in the first book but for some reason I found it much more tolerable in this installment. I even managed to find myself smiling at the few sweet moments throughout.

I am a sucker for an interesting magic system (who isn’t though) and this one really managed to delve deeper in the magic, and I loved it.

The author nailed the ending. There was enough resolution to things that happened throughout the book that I wasn’t frustrated at the end, and it also managed to tease enough about potential storylines in the upcoming third book that I already can’t wait to read it.

The bad: I have to wait for the next one!

Thank you to the author and the publisher for providing me with an eARC copy for review. My thoughts and comments are solely my own.
