FUXK THIS IS A SOLID 5/5 STARS OR EVEN 10000🌟 THIS IS SO GOOD AND I'M SO HAPPY THAT I FOUND THIS BOOK BECAUSE THIS IS A MASTERPIECE. WHY IS THIS NOT TRENDING YET?!!
This is everything that I want in a book and I want to read the next book already. It has enemies to lovers, murder mystery, forced proximity, one bed troupe, BANTER & TENSION all together.
I WOULD WANT TO HAVE A PHYSICAL COPY OF THIS BOOK AND ANNOTATE IT BECAUSE THIS IS SO SO GOOD. I don't remember being this addicted to a romance book before.

‘The God and the Gumiho’ was a mostly entertaining, high stakes novel based on Korean mythology. Although, I know very little of the mythology I found myself getting drawn into the tale easily thanks to the authors explanations and description. However, the episode-ish writing style, multiple romantic cliches and teenage banter lost points for me. Unfortunately, I can’t see myself won’t continuing the series.

Even though in terms of days in the book, the main characters technically get together quickly, however, it didn't feel like it was an insta-love. It seemed as though weeks had passed during their mission. It felt like they truly despised each other at first and slowly evolved in their relationship. They had some fun banter and sweet moments together.
The writing was able to draw out a lovely world and atmosphere, and this has some of the best character growth. Neither character is unlikeable to me, but they are both grumpy and morally gray, and have a great redemption as the story progresses.
I was teary at the end.

fell in love with the MC's, especially Hani! I loved the different POV's and I felt like the author did such a good job building tension and romance between the MC's. It was really cool to read about Korean folklore - I'm glad there weren't English translations or even a glossary since the story was so immersive and including those would have felt like the story was solely for people outside the culture. I'm so excited to read the next book in the series!
