My first Sager book, and it was very enjoyable!

I enjoyed the format Sager utilized, the "book" chapters juxtaposed with the current story. While I found the beginning to be a little slow, the pace quickly accelerated and the tension increases as we delved further into the mystery.

And I can't say I predicted the ending, that's for sure. All in all, solid writing, a great mystery, and just enough uncanny unsettling feelings to make you nervous.

Despite the minimal flaw, I thought it was fantastic and I will be reading another Sager book in the future.

This book is awesome. Kept me on the edge all through out. The twist in the end was unexpected. I kept on thinking of different people as the one who did the crime only to be surprised it was someone I did not expect at all. Definitely checking out Riley Sager's other works

I thought this was a really well-done depiction of a haunted house and the events that shape us.

This had me on the edge of my sit and I was SHOCKED about the ending. I finished this in a day; I just could not put it down. This was a wild ride, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

When I read Lock Every Door I wasnโ€™t super impressed with Riley Sager but decided to give his books another chance and Iโ€™m so glad I did!

This book was amazing! Kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time & had a surprise ending I shouldโ€™ve seen coming but definitely didnโ€™t. And Iโ€™m always here for a surprise ending! This is a haunted house type book which made me nervous because I donโ€™t believe in ghost and the last โ€œghostโ€ story I read I wasnโ€™t a fan of but Sager definitely wrote this one magnificently and had me shaking in my seat! I highly recommend this one if you havenโ€™t read it yet.

For me this book was a comfort horror/thriller read. I enjoyed the split perspective of the book and present day, the visuals of the house, and while the ending wasnโ€™t entirely surprising I was ok with that because to me this book was more about the journey then the conclusion anyways. This book is about family, perceptions, and the difficulties which come with navigating grief and loss. For those who enjoy a mix of supernatural and realistic horror this is a great pick.
