Sometimes I think Tamsyn Muir decided to have unwieldy cast of characters so

they could be killed off Shakespearean tragedy style in fascinatingly creative ways

. And you know what? It worked even if I had to pull up a character cheat sheet every few pages.

This book is good amazing worldbuilding and storytelling. I probably will not read Harrow the ninth because I feel very little connection to these characters or this world. After finishing the book I felt very apathetic about it.
