This book was fascinating. Such a uniquely executed idea with the idea of despair and hope running prevalent side by side through the work. The narrator is neither likeable or hateable. She exists and that’s enough. She’s brutally methodical in her search for answers and her truth and it’s a fascinating read of the struggle to survive and build community in the face of hopelessness.

A thoughtful existential crisis, intrepidly searching for meaning where there isn’t any to find.

The reflections of death, grief, and community means I must add it to the collection of ‘right book at the right time’ in my life.
