I enjoyed the book, however I think it focused a bit too much on the smut. And it got a bit repetitive. I needed to put the book down a few times. I still enjoyed it, and I’m not saying there shouldn’t be a lot of smut in a book but, I just don’t think it was balanced out properly with the rest of the story. And every conversation they had ended/interrupted in kissing. Including scenes that were important/emotional and I don’t think needed the intimate follow up.
I loved the first book Pumpkin Spice Cafe and its slow build with splashes of intimacy with its spicy scene at the end - and I know they are different books - but I think this second book missed out on the mundane parts that the first one did well. I don’t know if mundane is the right word for it but I can’t think of another atm.
Still going to continue with the book series cause I do like the authors writing- the natural flow of the first one was great, the second went for a little dip for me but overall still enjoyable and will def continue.
