emotional

What an absolute delight! The lush prose, the way both the real life and the dream life are presented beautifully, the slow burn of romance between Aaron and Fiona. Can't say I didn't cry (I definitely did). It started really slow, with the whole act of gun violence, but never fear: once it gets going, it is STUNNING. The ending is a bit confusing, what with the time travel, but what matters most is the characters and the relationship built.

My brain is a bit scattered, so sorry.

LT:Įsimylėjau šitą knygą. Įsimylėjau jos idėja. Man čia viskas buvo tobula. Gale ir verkiau, nes galvojau, kad o dieve, taip negali būti...Rašymo stilius nerealus. Gailiuosi, kad anksčiau nesusipažinau su šita autore, dabar visas jos knygas įsitraukiu į TBR.

EN: I fell in love with this book. I fell in love with her idea. Everything was perfect for me here. In the end, I cried a lot because I thought, oh my god, it can't be like that... The writing style is amazing. I regret not getting to know this author earlier, now I put all her books on my TBR.

Thanks NetGalley for the ARC book!

Fiona is a single mom & CEO of her late father’s watch company. She lives a very busy life. She receives a family heirloom watch that lets you dream what you really want, and it takes her into another life.
She enjoys parts of both of these lives, and it pushes her to figure out what she truly desires. The dream world gives her a place to safely explore love, and a completely different way to live than she’s used to.
There are lots of appearances from Daniel, who is the main character in the first book (Ghosted) and this book is set before the first book as per the timelines.

This story was so different, but I really liked it. It was kinda like The Lake House in a way but only if we got to see Sandra and Keanu on the screen more together.

Fiona Abry is dedicated. To her job, her daughter and her brother. She doesn't have room for anyone or anything else. She's pretty busy and doesn't have time for love.

When she's given a family heirloom, that takes her on a very strange dream. It's so realistic that she becomes so entrenched in this life that she's living. She's living on a small island. Married. She has two kids who aren't her daughter.

She's slowly falling in love with her dream husband and her dream life. But she also loves her daughter and family when she's awake. How can she stay with a married man?

It's really romantic. It's part of a series, and has a HEA.

🎧 Narrator: Shakira Shute 🎧

This was another really enjoyable novel from Sarah Ready! Magical realism is one of my favorites and I loved the way it was done here via the use of dreams. If I thought too hard, some things were a little confusing and had me thinking… wait how does that line up? But it was way more fun to just go along for the ride and not analyze it too hard. Magic isn’t always easily explained!

I am a sucker for a love story in books so I was rooting so hard for a HEA for our main characters. The hope and longing between the two was just 🥰.. And I wont spoil, but let’s just say this one had my heart in my throat towards the end. The anxiety!

I really liked this one on audio. Shakira Shute did a great job narrating. I do feel this story could have been edited down to be a bit shorter, but I still really liked it! This is my second audiobook from Sarah Ready and it won’t be my last!

The premise reminds me of that other book I read last month, if I'm not mistaken. Honestly, I really love the idea of it.

Like that other book I read, this was a miss for me. The writing definitely made a major impression on me, and it's not good at all.

The characters feel bland at all, and I barely feel the romance. The idea is there, but the execution is poorly done.

I was approved of the next one, and I'm kind of hesitant for it, but I still probably gonna read it. I'm just hoping that it's gonna be better.

It wasn't the worst one. It could have been better if the writing was more engaging and characters aren't bland.

thank you so much to netgalley for providing me an early audio copy in exchange for an honest review!!

the fact that i ate it up in three listens says a lot about what i feel about this book
