I was extremely excited when I heard about the book as a recommendation. It’s extremely gritty and new age. It does keep you on your toes. I do wish there would have been more of the opposing sides story told but all in all it’s definitely a good thriller to read.

Read trigger warnings. Don't wanna waltz into this one willly-nilly like me. At least those were not gratuitous although I could have done with just a gentle hinting instead of... yeah.

I hated this book. Not enough to dnf, but only because it wasn't very long and I was hoping justice would be served. It was.
The main character is disgusting. And not in a like, oh I don't like her way. I absolutely hate her.
The story didn't feel cohesive. I enjoyed the story of the river man. But the. The author was throwing other things in there and it just ruined it.
Please look up triggers if you decide to read this book. They ruined it for me and if I had known what was going to happen I wouldn't have given this man my money.
