I loved the 0.5 novella, [b:The Reaper Incarnate|57738587|The Reaper Incarnate (Reaped, #0.5)|C.A. Rene|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1618412759l/57738587._SY75_.jpg|90243634], when I read it last year and have always highly recommended it to my friends since it was so fun! So color me super surprised (and maybe it's my mood) when I found myself bored out of my mind with this entry.

I didn't realize it before this novel, but there is only so much crazy I can take, and this novel had me at full capacity.

I love Selene she is a bad b*tch! I love her crazy ass. men! Still not liking all the blood play but that's my own personal opinion but the writing is amazing and I am a sucker for a strong FMC!

REVIEW:
Another crazy fun ride with these adorable psychos. Definitely dark with all the same triggers as the last book including, but not limited to: brutal murder, torture, prostitution, mentions of child trafficking (not depicted on page), blood play, knife play, cheating with om/ow, and so on. Pretty much stay away if you have any triggers at all. Personally I love these kind of crazy fucked up books!
I’m still loving these. Love Selene’s crazy arse. She’s such a fucking badass!
The only thing I didn’t like about her in this one is seeing her have sex with (and enjoying sex with) other people. Most of them were for her work since she’s a prostitute, but I kind of hoped she would stick to only pursuing guys who were relevant to her rescue mission. So I didn’t love when she had “normal” clients who she enjoyed the sex with. Blech.
She also starts to have an emotional and physical attraction to one of the other female prostitutes that works in the area. Again, didn’t love this. This almost felt more like cheating on the guys than any of the other stuff since emotions were involved.
I still love all the guys too and I was so happy that they all got more page time in this one, with the POVs being more evenly dispersed. I also loved that we got more background on both Blaze and Santos.
I did not love Blaze letting the woman who Selene was having a relationship with suck his cock. I don’t really know why he did this, except that maybe it was because he felt betrayed by Selene being with her in the first place. But he’s not telling Selene and it feels wrong. I hope he comes clean about that.
Other than the cheating and kinda-cheating, I also hated that she was separated from the guys for more than half of the book. Blaze is stalking her while she’s in Nevada so he’s there (but she doesn’t know it) and we get the guys’ POVs too, so that helped ease the blow of them all being apart. But it was still hard to see them apart for most of the book. Once they were all reunited I liked the book better, but this (along with the cheating) brought it down a star for me.
I still love the story. I loved all the twists at the end (with her sister reveal and Santos’ long lost dad). Love the characters, the sex is super hot, love Santos and Darius together, and so on. Most of it I love! I just hope they aren’t separated for too long in the next one. The cliffhanger ending indicates they will be for at least the beginning, but they better reunite quickly!
Overall I’m loving the series still and would recommend it for those who like dark psychos in love romances and who have no triggers.

I absolutely love Selene and her guys! She has to be the toughest and craziest heroine I’ve read and Blaze, Zander, Santos and Darius are equally as crazy and twisted as she is. The twists and turns of this story had me on the edge of my seat and I loved every word. This story is definitely not for the faint of heart or anyone with a weak stomach but if you love the dark like I do this is right up your alley!!!

Holy shit! I’ve been waiting for this book ever since I read the novella in the antho.
I am obsessed with both RE Bond and CA Rene! Individually their writing is my kryptonite but add them together and it’s like my version of heaven on Earth!
Selene is my favorite kind of FMC and her men Blaze, Santos(my favorite) Zander, and Darius are hot AF and my kind of crazy

This book is basically just a chain of unsexy sex acts with half a page of plot in between. I can't even care about the sister anymore, I'm so tired of reading the terrible things these people think. I just wanted more unhinged Santos.
