You know how there are songs that are obviously made to go viral online? This felt like that but for K-dramas, but like in a good way. I can't compare it to The Hunger Games, since I've never read them, but it is vey Truman Show coded. I listened to the audiobook and read it physically and I have to say, the audiobook was fantastic! The pacing was engaging and it felt like I was binge watching a full K-drama series. Maybe my experience was better than others beacuase of the audiobook. I do think that Chobahm was pretty flat in development for a lot of the book and some of her decisions were pretty dumb for someone we're told is cool and brave. Either way, I personally loved it! I'm very excited to pick up book 2 this month and see how it all ends! (I swear if I don't get more Bonwhe x Chobahm, just a few more scenes please)

Korean dystopian YA fiction set in a fascinating world where everyone is trapped in an ice age - except for the reality TV stars who live in a temperate climate dome, providing entertainment for the rest of society. The plot is fast paced and compelling, a bit scrambled at times, but a solid contribution to the genre. I'm looking forward to the next installment next year.
