The concept of the Snowglobe was really cool, but it seems that the book doesn’t care about it that much. I thought that the book would be about Jeon Chobahm in Snowglobe and letting it all go to her head.

But then the story devolves into Orphan Black. It feels very derivative of OB. The MC replacing their doppelgänger after they die by suicide. And then MC finds out that she’s actually one of many clones. Only thing missing now is the clones finding out that they have male variant clones too.

Jeon Chobahm even says “How many of us are there?” Just like Sarah said in Orphan Black.

The idea of there being a reality show in a frozen world felt very fresh to me, but then it was brought down by the stupid clone plot line.

Thanks to Libro FM for the free copy of this book.

 - SNOWGLOBE has quite an inventive premise. The idea that the fee for living in the only hospitable city is to become a reality TV star is fantastic.
- However, we barely saw what that daily life might be like. Most of the book happened in non-filming moments, so much so that it felt like they were hardly ever actually filming. Some of the logistics of it didn’t make sense either, though I can mostly forgive that in a YA novel.
- I could see the twist coming, but still enjoyed listening to it play out. So, mixed feelings on this book but I’m still glad I gave it a try.
