All I’m gonna say is if Oliver doesn’t go find his man’s with his friends ima be upset, but I didn’t like how the ending was set up to seem like
he was gonna live an be with Meredith for a long time it just doesn’t seem like a good choice since he’s already told her that he did love James when they were together 10 years ago before he went to jail an now since James is “gone” he’s gonna settle for mere. Oliver is to kind for that I feel.
Overall a great story, I lived for all the Shakespeare quotes an the acting part of the story. Definitely don’t miss Richard the dude got what he deserved in my opinion but I also feel like the roles they were put into helped shape their character an ego, Richard was always playing the main role which in Shakespeare plays usually the villain so it’s no surprise that he eventually fell into the role outside of acting.

I guess this is a rather unpopular opinion but I don't really get the hype about this book. For one the setting was interesting but also a little weird and therefore unrealistic. It immediately remembered me of "The secret history" just vibe wise. This was unsettling because I DNFed it. I don't really like the characters but I would have loved to read more
about Oliver and James, I kinda like them together

Another thing is the dialogue stile (Alexander:"  "). It mostly consists of shakespearen re-enactments and is overall kinda underwhelming. First the "crime" plot falls flat and than gets rushed in the end with a reveal, a confession and an arrest. Even the end was kinda expected and some aspects I would love to have heard more about weren't explored any further.
I don't really get the time structure.
And a few question never get answered.

This 100% deserves the hype it gets. It's gruellingly dark, hypnotising and will have you questioning your morals. I read it in a day.
