Rereading these for old times sake.
funny lighthearted fast-paced

A very entertaining first time read!

SO different from the movie. Didn't read it growing up and typically never read middle grade but this was so fun to read.

What a cute story. Light and humorous. I enjoyed this as much as the movie. We get to really see and relate to Mia better within the pages. 3.5 stars, rounded up.

Being in Mia's head can get annoying because of her juvenile thought process (but understandable since she's 14) but it was great overall. Really love Michael :D

I loved this series growing up. I reread it since a couple of books have came out in the series after the last one I read. While I still love the characters and story, I can tell I'm not the audeince for this anymore. All I could do was keep thinking of what Mia needs to do, instead of relating to her anxieties like I once did.

The audiobook is an absolute GEM. Anne Hathaway was fantastic! This book was even funnier and more relatable than I remembered.

This book brings me a lot of nostalgic joy, as I read it when I was in middle school. It brings me back to the melodramatic, awkward, exuberant days of pubescence but in an entertaining way. Do note the publish date as some of the jokes and comments did not age well.

I listened to the audiobook and was pleasantly surprised to learn that Princess Mia herself, Anne Hathaway, was the narrator! I just wanted an easy book to listen to on my drive to work, but initially, it seemed a little too young, and I wasn’t enjoying it much. But I eventually got into it! I read this series when I was younger, so I think I’ll listen to it all the way through!
