Хороший, добротный детектив. Очень реалистичный, без того, что все будут жить «долго и счастливо».
Хороший чтец.

This was a weird read. Several times I got lost but I find that's a good thing. It's like I was lost just when Harry was, so it helped me get immersed in the action. Many crime novels lack that, and I guess who the killer is by the middle of the book, but Nesbø does a great work thowing the main character, as well as the reader, off the track.

All I can say is that I really hope that it is true that this series gets better!

Fine Harry Hole book, but not one of the best. Worth reading, though, to catch up on some of Harry's background.

The author is great in making the mystery part of the novel: the intrigue and the clues are done excellent, and they are very different from the first novel. However, I can't say this about the dramatic part of the book—reusing the same tropes as in the first book to move the actions spoiled the impression from otherwise a very good novel. It is even more disappointing because as the standalone book this would be better than the previous one.
