I enjoy the writing set up of this series, I like the concept of journal entries. It allows for you to understand what the character is feeling more. It is however very difficult subject matter and has many trigger warnings that you should look into before reading this book. However I feel as though it gives great insight into these issues for someone that hasn't much knowledge in drug use. As someone that recently graduated with a social work degree although this is fiction I think it was very informative and helps to understand more of what these individuals go though and helps to make you judge them less.
