I had no idea, like no way I didn’t see that coming at all!!! Maybe I’m easily fooled but I was completely like what and I wanted to throw my book across the room…except it was an audible book and that would have meant it would be my phone I’d throw and I’m not quite that dumb -iPhone’s aren’t cheap but anyway y’all READ THIS (and ignore my run on sentences)

I'm stunned because I really loved House Across the Lake and generally like Sager. But this was genuinely horrible... This had the "men writing women" vibe the entire time with countless cringe interactions it made me twitch. On top of that it was boring and predictable, and I was genuinely praying that Quincy would die because she's quite frankly a shit person

loved the horror movie vibes from the story. I liked Quincy but loved Sam/Tina more. Happy with the ending and I did not expect the biggest twist at the end.

By far, "Final Girls" is one of the best thrillers I've ever read. The pacing kept me flipping page, after page, after page, long after my bedtime, hoping to get to the heart of the story. If you're into 90's slasher films, "Final Girls" will definitely hit a sweet spot.

I enjoyed reading Final Girls! While I did find it addictive and didn’t want to put it down, it had to do in part with me wanting to get to the more fast-paced part where the action and mystery-solving really happens.

The beginning to the middle of the book was rather slow, and I thought the ending was way too fast. However, the actual premise of “Final Girls” and the plot is what kept me hooked.

I loved how the timeline switched from present day to the past when Quincy was at Pine Cottage with her friends to celebrate her best friend’s birthday. I didn’t mind so much when the past timeline was moving slow because I loved the suspense that it built.

Present-day, it seemed like Quincy had her life together, though she was tricking herself and everyone around her into thinking that with the help of her Xanax and her baking blog. When she found out that one of the other Final Girls had apparently committed suicide and the third Final Girl showed up at her door, Quincy started to slowly show some cracks in her “I’m fine” facade. That breakdown was captivating for me.

There were so many twists and turns, as well as a couple red herrings, to keep you guessing. I can’t believe it took me so long to figure it out! I wish there were more details as the ending was being laid out, but overall, I thought it was a nice twist.

Now about 2/3 of this book is honestly one of most boring I've ever read. But I am so glad I kept reading, I kept reading for the fact of how everybody called it the next best thriller. The last parts of the book are where it gets so good. I finished it so quickly once it starts up. The characters are well written thankfully, they're all full of secrets and are complex. The twist was one I didn't see coming. From a mental standpoint of myself, this book was something good for me, I think.
I believe the reviews were right, it's a great thriller one of the best I've read in a long time, it's just really boring at first.
