I absolutely adore this book! I literally laughed out loud so many times reading it! I originally read it without ever having read any of Elle’s previous books and I loved it so much I went back and read them all in order! Now I’m rereading this one prior to the next installment coming out and I cannot get over how much I love the Briar U family! I highly recommend all of these books to anyone who enjoys good banter and laughs!

4.5 ⭐️
Okay, so I loved this and I was so excited to read it! Definitely one of my most anticipated reads of the year. If you like the Off Campus and Briar U series you would like this! Its definitely the same vibe. Spice was really good, I loved both characters, I loved how Ryder opened up along the way. I liked Gigi as well and her journey. I loved the small cameos from the original characters! But I found the condom thing weird and inappropriate from Dean.
So, here’s where it went from a 5 ⭐️ to 4.5 ⭐️. Why the fuck did they get married?! That honestly brought this down so much for me, I was completely blindsided by that and honestly think it’s the most unnecessary addition to this book, ughhh I’m so frustrated by that. They’re 21!!! They’ve known and been dating for less than 1 year!! They’re both going to go on and have careers where they spend so long away from each other! It just did not make sense, it felt so random and out of character and just did not fit with the story at all. If that was the ending this book needed to be way longer and their relationship way more developed, especially for Ryder. Going through all that trauma, then finally somewhat coming to terms with it, then getting married to the first person he opens up to about it? It really doesn’t add up to a healthy thing, and I just can’t get past that.
I found the author also made little remarks through Gigi about things she doesn’t like or agree with and I thought that was unnecessary too.
Other than that, I really did enjoy reading this and being back in this world! I’m really excited to see who the next book is!

As I didn’t have a fav book of this year, this is one of my Top 10 of 2023! ⭐️

While I have not finished the Off-Campus series yet I decided to start this series anyway. I really liked Gigi and Luke and overall the story was well told and those spicy scenes were amazing. My only complaint is the length of this book. I do love rom-coms but often find that when they are over 400ish pages I start skimming the boring parts. Not that this book was boring, it wasn't but I did skim over some of the hockey stuff if I'm being honest. That being said, I did enjoy it and will be reading the next in the series.
