This was an absolutely beautiful book to read, the images and setting were wonderful and evocative.  I loved the myth surrounding Amana’s dresses and how each of the components had their own unique challenges.  My one main complaint would be that the challenges for the sun and moon seemed to move a bit fast and with not nearly the same amount of elaboration that the stars got; I would have liked to see a bit more with each of them.  Maia and Edan were fun characters to read about, but I did feel sorry for them and how each of them were trapped by their situations.  It will be interesting to see how their situations change in the next book.  Also, the emperor is a creep

DID NOT FINISH

As interested as I was in the premise, the writing and characters just aren’t doing it for me.
