DID NOT FINISH

I got so mad at the plot I couldn't stand reading it anymore

I was told that Crossed wasn't as good as Matched, and that is true.

Crossed was... good, but not as gripping as Matched. I usually like the use of alternative narrators, but Cassia and Ky are written so similarly that I often forgot whose POV I was reading. And in Crossed, Cassia seemed to become less Katniss and more Bella, focused entirely on finding Ky. Sure, she thinks about Xander a lot, but she's All About Ky, which makes her much more one-dimensional.

Crossed was a quick read, but it was a slower paced journey than Matched. I appreciated learning more about the world beyond The Society, but this book felt like it could have been pared down, or even reworked as the beginning of the third installment.

Once again, Condie dropped a nice trail of plot point-bread crumbs. It's going to be a looong wait until the third book comes out next November.

I think this book was a little slower than Matched. It took me awhile to get used to it being in two different chararters POV, but towards the middle I started to see the importance of it being that way. I liked Matched better but I still give Crossed 4 stars!

Why? What happened to this one? I loved the first book Matched, what happened here?

Not as good as the first, but picks up near the end, like Matched.

The most boring Distopian I have ever read....

This book did not have the emotional impact of the first, but it was still a very good. I am looking forward to reading the next.
