I approve of the message that no one is one thing, and a career does not define who/what a person is.

Absolutely loved this adorable chidlrens book.
My daughter Vanessa, when I ask her what she wants to be she always says “Everything!”
This story explores a child who seems to be feeling the same way. I am happy to share this story with my girl.

A much needed message for everyone who's ever been told they're supposed to have it all figured out, and a reminder of everything we can be when we stop trying to limit ourselves to a single profession. Delivered with gentleness, kindness, and a touch of hope, WHAT WILL YOU BE? is sure to be a go-to bedtime book to inspire dreams and chase away nightmares. This is one to have in every classroom, to ease the worries of an anxious student, or even on your own grown-up desk, to reset throughout the day.

This book made me smile, and genuinely touched my heart and moved me. I LOVED 'What will you be?' The words by Yamile Saied Méndez were so comforting, felt so personal and meaningful. And the illustrations by Kate Alizadeh swept me into the beautiful journey, capturing such a moving and powerful moment of understanding and comfort between the little girl and her Abuela.
It honestly felt like I was re-reading a well-loved book from my childhood - and I think that shows this is a book I would of loved then and I love now, and that many children and care givers will carry in their hearts for a long time. This is a really special book about dreaming of what you will be when you're grown up, and the ways you will touch other's lives.
Really, really loved it.

Stories showcasing children and their relationship with grandparents are some of my favorites. Absolutely love the illustrations. Read for the StoryGraph Reads the World 2023 challenge.
