A cute read with some great advice, but I wish it had taught me how to stop messing up the ironing!
first, i love arden so much and, even though i'd never gotten excited for a book by a youtuber, i was so hyped for this one. obviously you can tell i really liked it. i love how arden expresses herself and just how candid and honest she was in this book. the topics she chose to speak about were really important an di feel like she spoke about them in a great, respectful manner. my fave chapters were the ones on sex, relationships and her trichotillomania. also, i found this really funny. i loved the inclusion of lists. her writing style flowed really well and as i read it, i could hear her saying all of it. overall, i really liked it, it didn't disappoint and i would recommend it.
I listened to the audiobook version of this book, so it took just over an hour to get through. I follow Arden Rose on YouTube (but I don't really watch her videos anymore) and on various other social media sites, so the book has been on my radar for a while now.
I think one of the most interesting parts of this book was her discussing the beginning of her relationship with her current boyfriend, but she had already read this passage in a YouTube video posted just after the books release. It was a light, fun read, but it wasn't life-changing or in any way educational on 'how to adult'. It was just a pretty average, not too deep, (hashtag) relatable read for the people who watch and enjoy her videos.
I also did appreciate her sharing her struggles with mental illness (OCD and Trichotillomania), but as someone who has been a subscriber for a while I already knew about this before reading the book.

I suppose it's my fault for reading a book with "adulting" in the title
Charming and quirky, but a little redundant. Still, I can see it's value among today's high school generation. I wish it had come out when I was a teenager. Arden's YouTube career is very notable, and the fact that she was able to fit a book in that comes across as genuine and authentic to readers is impressive.

I think this book can be summed up by saying 'do what you have to do, even when you don't want you, unless you really don't want to, then don't'.
Not that helpful or funny but an okay read
