Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

I read S.E.C.R.E.T earlier this year and loved it! I loved the theme of empowerment, women taking control not only of their lives but more importantly their self esteem and of course at the same time their sexual well-being. When I read it I had no idea it was going to be the first in a trilogy and I'm extremely happy to say that S.E.C.R.E.T. Shared is an excellent continuation of the story.

Moving on from the heartbreak she experienced at the end of S.E.C.R.E.T. Cassie has decided to stay with the group and become a guide. (She had a choice of becoming a Fantasy Facilitator, a Recruiter or a Guide). We are introduced to Dauphine who trusts no one after having been betrayed by the people closest to her. Her life is ruled by fear and self esteem problems. She hides her beautiful curvaceous body under clothes that are matronly and less than flattering. Through S.E.C.R.E.T. and with the help of her guide Cassie she learns to let go. She learns how to trust in herself and others around her and to stop trying to control every situation. In the meantime we are still hearing Cassie's story and hoping that her new found self awareness will help her to make the right choices. As in the first book I could hear the voices of the characters and I could picture their faces.

One of the best scenes in this book (for me at least), was the "training" session...we get an inside look at how the men who are to become part of S.E.C.R.E.T. are trained to fulfill the women's fantasies. They are taught what to say, how to act, and even how to perform. We learn that in some ways the men are also experiencing their own fantasies and have to love receiving the experience as much as they are giving it.

Well written and I loved it more than the first book in the series, S.E.C.R.E.T. Shared was also a quick inspiring read. I can't wait to read the final installment to see how everyone's lives will turn out in the end.

GO JESSE (you'll have to read it to know what I mean).
LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!

I loved Secret Shared.
This book will pull you in until you finish the last page. Cassie isn't afraid of anything anymore and I loved how L. Marie Adeline wrote such a strong character. She has her flaws as we all do but she isn't scared anymore and that alone is enough to empower other women.
Secret and Secret Shared are well worth your time to read. They aren't like any other books I've read and you really get to grow with the characters.
This is a must read for anyone wanting to feel more empowered.
