Never read such an intense male character. Let me tell you, This mf is entirely fictional. Now I know u (the two people who see these reviews), are thinking, “nour, all ur book dudes are fictional,” but this one! I swear he is the most fictional fictional character I’ve ever read. Stg vampires are less fictional than this guy, in fact the aliens from ice planet barbarians are less fictional than him.

Anyways I loved this and I will happily continue to read mindless happiness incarnate books every time I feel slightly upset.

Felt too long. Drew too impossible to be real.

Do not let the slightly corny title and cover deceive you. This is the genre at it's best and the best romance/romantic comedy novel I've read in a long time. It was sweet, razor-sharp, smart, literally laugh-out-loud funny (which is a rarity for me even with the best of funny books) and played to the genre's tropes without getting stuck down in them. The characters are real - I loved both hero and heroine, the friends and the brothers (oh, the brothers). I'm so glad I picked it up, am already looking forward to re-reading it in future, and will be looking for more of this series immediately.

"We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are a member of the human race . And the human race is filled with passion "- DPS. Romance is alive and well in this unverse indeed 🧡.

I really enjoyed this novel, but I was a bit annoyed with the obliviousness of the main characters, especially considering they're both such honest people. So.... BE HONEST WITH EACH OTHER, YO!
But the first novel in the series is still my absolute fave. I just want to re-read it right now.

I know that I recently said that I wanted to read more non-traditional rom-coms, and since this one took place in the fmc’s childhood home while her mother was undergoing hospice care in the bedroom downstairs, this book would probably would qualify under that umbrella but this was absolutely not what I meant. I think the setting of a romance happening with a hospice care in the background would work for a sweet romance, but when raunchy jokes are being make and spicy scenes are occurring all while a beloved family member is downstairs dying of cancer it makes the romance aspects incredibly off putting. Definitely was dragging my feet to finish this one.
