I did enjoy this book, it was sweet and it was fun but over all quite predictable. I also wasn't super fond of the abusive ex aspect of it. I didn't think it would bother me as much as it did. Overall, this book was nice but kind of predictable. It was a nice easy read but it didn't make a huge impression on me.

How to fail at Flirting is the perfect romanantic comedy, with the right measure of drama. The problems that Naya and Jake faced are so real and it kept the book from being all fluff. I loved Naya's character development and how she changed from the beginning to the end. And Denise Williams' writing is truly delightful.

I enjoyed this one but it was not light and easy, and deals with a lot of subject matter that could be triggering for readers without warning.

This is a well-written romance and an impressive debut. The heavy topic of abuse was touched upon with realism. The characters were believable. Though, I got to say I found Jake's. Arc a little unfinished.

This was a heavier read than I expected going in. There were parts that really made me angry and it was hard to get past that. I really loved Jake, he was probably my favorite character.

Trigger Warnings for Domestic and Verbal Abuse.
