This was good but it felt long to me and almost started to drag on. If I didn't feel that way about it I probably would've given 4/5 stars.

The end of chapter 34 would have been the perfect end to this story. Had to drop my rating a bit.

I rarely read one book at a time but I gave this (597 page) supernatural thriller my full attention.
I love stories that revolve around a concrete location, locations that take on their own role in a tale. The Good House by Tananarive Due does not disappoint. Due creates a dynamic story told through three timelines she weaves seamlessly together.
This book draws on a rich Haitian heritage, and looks at what is passed down to following generations.
Content warnings: suicide, violence, vodou

Tananarive Due has replaced Stephen King as my favorite author. Her story telling sucks you in and has you by the throat needing to know what happens. I feel satisfied after each book. Onto her next book 😂
