This book was absolutely fantastic. It did such a good job in centering the characters, especially Jean, that even though plotwise not much was happening, I was never bored or felt lost like how I sometimes did with the first trilogy. It's a fantastic work of character exploration, and made me tear up so many times. I'm really excited to see where we go next.

Jean Moreau's story from after he was rescued from Edgar Allen. I'm probably going to cry.

It was so much worse than I thought it would be. The fallout of the ending of King's Men didn't mean a lot with the epilogue we were given, but The Sunshine Court telling us how that went is utterly insane. Getting an entire book from Jean about it is massive in seeing more into the world of exy that has been created around these college teams in a way that is enlightening and heartbreaking. Jeremy's POV on top of it is fascinating. Jeremy is such an interesting character I need his entire life story yesterday.
All that said the pacing of this book feels so weird to me. in such a way I don't think I can fully articulate it but I know that once the following book comes out it'll feel better. All For the Game is designed to be consumed back to back so I'm ready and waiting for the next book.

Jean Moreau you'd always be the baddest bitch alive Im afraid and the quickest one to grow on me.
Update: Reread this and Im literally in disbelief how I rated it below a literal 4 stars at the least beacuse, not to be dramatic, this meant everything to me. When I said Andriel invented romance I meant it but that was also before I read about Jeremy and Jean. But god the tidbits about friends and life and everything through jeans experiences with the Trojans and the people around him is so precious to me yall dont get ittt. I mean of course i was beyond frustated and pulling the choking emote in some of the scenes (lucas, fuck you first off, and KEVJEAN MLS ill always mourn you two😔) but still, I loved this book, even more so on the second read. Watch me make Jean Moreau my whole personality in secrecy now.
