A friend who is a professor of religion recommended this book to gain a broad brush of the various spiritual logics that exist. While I went in with an open mind, I just couldn't get it. It seems over-written and an attempt to bring a mystical/magical perspective to a few simple tenets. I respect those who get something out of this book, but I did not.

Was reading for it’s supposed relation to Hermeticism, but this is more of an adjacent, new agey text.
It is a very interesting book for a person who has materialistic world view and who is trying to get more information about other and mostly metaphysical solutions on the universe. Hermeticism has great influence on philosophy and religion in our world, and this book is a simple but complete explanation of hermetic tradition. It may or may not change your view on life completely, but even the possibility to open a new perspective is making the book to deserve to be read several times.
