The book I told my parents to throw away because I didn't like it (withouth reading it not even once) and a few years later I fell in love with!
Such a great book!

This is a children's book and it's written as such, but the magic, comfort and warm feelings remain even when reading it as an adult. It feels like a warm cup of tea on a windy autumn day, or like a hug to my younger self.

Onto rereading the next one then!

Loved this series as a child!

This was one of my favorite books when I was a child and I've read the series multiple times.
Now I wanted to refresh my memory and see why I loved it so much.

Honestly? I don't know. It was boring and had zero character development. Scratch that. The characters didn't even have personality.

If it was a random book I just picked up, I would have probably dnf'd it halfway through, and even if I finished it, I would struggle to give it 2 stars. For now, for the sake of my mental and emotional sanity, I can't give this less.

Although, I have to say, my 10-year-old niece read the whole trilogy in 2 days when she spent the weekend with me in the summer and loved it, so I would still recommend it to the target audience, I guess.

Let's hope the other two books are better.
