This sequel is just as satisfying as the First.

I really feel like this series is a gem and I am lucky to have discovered it.

The characters are lovely and so well written and the world and magic system very intriguing.

Good stuff

Quite the improvement from the first novel. John has started giving us a look at the wider world he's created, and it's looking mighty interesting.

I enjoyed getting some more character development for our main 5 protagonists as well.

I'd give this one 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5 stars.
Looking forward to the next book!

Sand, sun, and dragons! Another entertaining installment, but this was missing some of the charm and character development of the first book. I hope to see more of that as the series continues and the world expands.
