My heart is still hammering in my chest. A couple of minutes ago I read the very last sentence of this book and although the second book made me fear that maybe I had been wrong and this series wouldn't become a new favorite of mine, the third book proved that my first instinct had been right anyway. I love this series. I love the storyline, the characters, the setting and most of all how Claudia Gray never seems to go for the obvious clichés.

She's toying with them. She knows how our brains our programmed and what we're expecting and she simply not doing it and therefore I'm constantly caught of guard. And I like that. I like the thrill of not knowing what's going to happen, of not knowing how this will end. I like being surprised, but not out of nowhere. Because every choice, every plot-point, it's perfectly built up.

This book has a really nice pacing. There are action-packed parts and quieter, more dialogue and character driven parts and they're perfectly balanced. I never got the feeling it was too action-packed, with not enough attention for all the emotions and personal development of both our heroes. And I never got the feeling it was too slow and focussed too much on emotions and development when there were much more urgent matters to be taken care of.

Although I have to admit that the Wraith mythology seemed a little rushed, I really enjoyed this book and the next installment of this series immensely. I can't wait for next week and for the final book in this series!

Ehh, I thought this book was okay. It seemed to drag on and on for ever! Personally, once Bianca and Lucas' relationship took a sudden turn for the worst (I won't reveal too much ;)), the book seemed to pick up again as a good read (as it did initially in the first book). But, it was too depressing, which brings me to the conclusion that I liked the first book best. I am still eager to read the fourth and final book. I'm not sure if it will be that great, but I'll read on. I want to get this series over with already!

Oh I did not want to finish this one - read in two days and absolutely loved it. Can't wait to find the forth in the series.

I was happy this book picked up its pace from the previous two books, but I can't say I enjoyed the ending.
