I received this book for free from a Goodreads giveaway, and to give my honest review. Let me start by saying this is 100% what I needed. This was such a feel good palette cleanser. I love how close the Baxter family is and how their faith in God in so strong. I was rooting for Landon and Ashley to rekindle their relationship and I guess I’ll have to read more of these books to find out what happens. This book was so wholesome and stole my heart from the beginning. ♥️♥️

I've loved reading all of the Baxter family books, and this one was no different. I enjoyed every minute of reading this, even when I teared up at times and nodded in agreement with what the characters were saying, praying for the family that I have grown to love and look at as real people. Five stars and a wonderful reading experience!

Liked this one better than Redemption.  It was so much better written, and I loved how it really expanded on the backstories of these beloved characters.

I've always been a big fan of The Baxter series and Karen Kingsbury. I love the messages in her books and she is a great storyteller. That's why it pains me to call this one disappointing. I don't feel like it really added anything to the series, it just felt unnecessary and the story itself was dull and uninteresting. I will admit that I'm not a big fan of romance so perhaps that's why it seemed overly sappy to me as well. A miss for me but hopefully others will really enjoy it. My thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing a galley of this book for review. All opinions are my own.

Like a lot of people I have been a Karen Kingsbury fan for a while. However, being a fan doesn’t mean that we read books without seeing room for improvement or even looking at previous books for precedence on the author’s skill.

Karen is a very skilled storyteller. However, I often feel the stories are rushed towards the end. This was not the exception; I wanted to know more about Tim and Kari’s trip to Alaska. Or more about Luke and Erin. Instead we got more of why Ashley feels less than a Baxter.

Overall, I am glad I read this book; it helped to understand THE BAXTERS a bit more. 3.5 out of 5 stars would definitely recommend!
