Stuck With You was a really sweet, romantic read that made me go hunting for other books by Aimee Brown.
The characters were so lovable, and flawed in endearing ways. The relationships between characters were beautiful, and that ending
with the big musical gesture
made my heart soar.
I would recommend to contemporary romance lovers, especially if you're a fan of the friendship-first trope.

Quick Summary: A Say Anything wo-fi romance

My Review: Stuck With You by Aimee Brown was a sigh and a smile kind of story. It was Never Been Kissed with a touch of Serendipity. It was sweetness and humor. It was hearts and stars. I absolutely loved it!

About the Book: Timing is everything. Jade and River didn't get it right the first time they were around each other. Still, they became close friends. When they faked an engagement, little did they know they would get a second chance at their very own love story.

My Final Say: Oh my goodness, this book was so adorable. It was quirky and brilliant all at the same time. That ending was "Kiss Me" cuteness. Readers who love that famous John Cusack boom box scene will totally fall for this one.

This was a fluffy little fun read - somewhere between a novella and a novel. Light on the tension that we usually see in a romcom, but the banter between Jade and River was really fun and the dynamic between River and his mother was fun too.

Note: I received a free electronic edition of this book via NetGalley in exchange for the honest review above. I would like to thank them, the publisher, and the author for the opportunity to do so.

A cute friends to lovers romance with lots of romcom classic homages that I enjoyed quite a lot. Good on audio too narrated by Patrick Boylan and Georgina Sadler. This book works as a standalone but it also set in the same New York City universe as the author's last two books, Love notes and He loves me, he loves me not.

Steam level: kissing only

"Stuck With You" by Aimee Brown is a charming and heartwarming romantic comedy that will have you laughing, swooning, and rooting for love.

The story centers around two characters who find themselves in an unexpected situation - stuck together in a cozy cabin during a snowstorm. Brown's writing effortlessly captures the witty banter and gradual connection between them, creating a delightful slow-burn romance that keeps you engaged.

The characters are endearing and relatable, each with their own quirks and vulnerabilities that make them feel like friends. As their relationship evolves from annoyance to friendship and possibly more, the book beautifully explores themes of personal growth and second chances.

"Stuck With You" is a perfect blend of humor, romance, and heartfelt moments. While the storyline may follow some familiar tropes, the author's execution and the genuine chemistry between the characters make it a thoroughly enjoyable read.

If you're in the mood for a feel-good romantic comedy that will leave you with a smile on your face, "Stuck With You" is a fantastic choice. Aimee Brown crafts a story that warms your heart like a cup of hot cocoa on a chilly day, making it a wonderful escape into a world of laughter, love, and the magic of unexpected connections.

Speechless... I need another book just for River and Jade! Jade gets engaged to a guy who doesn't really want to be with her but wants to claim her before he leaves for school. He makes many bad choices and all Jade's family and friends tell her she deserves better. River decides to prove that to her and starts being there for her when she needs a distraction from life. Through awesome banter, movies and awkward situations they realise that they are falling for each other. This book will have you smiling the whole time, Laughing out loud and swooning for River and Jade!

Tropes
* Friends to Lovers
* Slow Burn
* Close Door
* Loss of family

Jade & River
Connor proposes to Jade at her 26th birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. Even though they've only been dating for 2 months, he doesn't know her middle name, or has a ring, she accepts. The next day he's off to medical school across the country and rarely reaches out. Ummm, hello, SO MANY red flags, but she still stays engaged for ages and ages and ages.

River was a funny fella, outfit choice and man bun aside (sorry not my cuppa, but to each their own) and seemed like he'd be a fun guy to hang around, but not too often because he doesn't act his age most of the time. Not the prettiest non date they had, but I liked how when he had food poisoning the author chose to keep it real by having him compromise his pants and needing a new pair

This was a cute rom-com read that had me smiling the entire time. If you are looking for a light summer read with some major 80s influence, look no further. This is the third book in a series, but I read it without reading the other two and did not feel lost at all.

Jade has just had the moment of her dreams happen. She was proposed to! She shouldn't worry about the fact that her fiance didn't know her whole name during said proposal. Or about the fact that he bumped his flight up back to Boston so that he could see one of his friends instead of spending the day with her right? Or the fact that he didn't have a ring? None of that should bother her because she is getting married to the man of her dreams...or is she?

Enter River Matthews. He is a regular at the bar where Jade works. They have chemistry. They ALMOST shared a moment but then Jade met Conner. River has known from the jump that Conner is not who Jade thinks he is. Now his goal is to help her understand what it means to be loved and by the right person.

This is a cute story about a young woman who has experienced some trauma that has made her a bit more vulnerable to putting her heart out on the line (maybe for the wrong person). River takes the time and does the cutest things to help her see how special she is and that what she is experiencing isn't how it should be. I saw some people refer to this as a love triangle but Conner was so detached I don't know if I would call it that. My challenges were with Jade herself. She stubbornly refused to see what everyone was seeing around her. She almost made it a point to prove everyone wrong at her determent which was frustrating. I do applaud her loyalty though at the same time LOL.

Thank you Netgalley & Boldwood Books for access to this title in exchange for an honest review. 🤍

I really enjoyed this book and loved all of the characters. It was a perfect friends-to-lovers romance. Aimee Brown brings a freshness to often-used tropes and this book is another example of that. I can’t wait to read more from Aimee Brown.
