đŸ„”đŸ„”đŸ„” "Extra Spicy" does not begin to describe the spice level, and I was not prepared for what I just read!  I definitely should have read a few reviews before starting this one, but by the time super extra spicy began I was invested enough in the story that I had to continue! This lost a lot of the "romantic" side as the  story progressed,, the romance felt forced in as an afterthought to me.

I WAS NOT READY

To say I LOVED this book would be an understatement! love love loved it, The spice was spiccyyy, the love was INCREDIBLE the story was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I loved every single character, the their development in the story. The way those boys love Rachel and each other is simply beautiful! highly highly recommend it.
emotional medium-paced

One star for the indulgent lack of consequences regarding any/all characters; it kept the book from ever feeling heavy or meaningful but entertaining nonetheless. Another star for the characters and their uniqueness. I stuck around for the reality TV and melodrama of an otherwise cringeworthy experience, third star.

This is a mindless read. If you can get past the corny dialogue, the “yeet” slang and objectively bad sex-talk–and millions of pet names–you’ll be treated to a crash course of how-not-to-do-poly.

And if you can get past all of that, then you’ll have to ignore or confront a lot of passive misogyny and slut-shaming, i.e. the “puck bunnies.”

Considering that this entire text is a puck bunny’s wet dream, it is a little ironic that the tone toward this group of women is quite disparaging. Ultimately, it was an unnecessary attempt to dichotomize female sexuality and only ever used to vilify one group versus the other. Disappointing meta commentary but, oh well.

Without going into major spoilers, there are a couple instances where people are outed without prior consent. Overall, the internal commentary within the text finds no fault in either circumstance and even attempts a ‘this is for your own good’ explanation. Both instances felt like violations to the respective parties involved.

There were never any boundaries or discussions about the sexual dynamics between all the characters; a lot of push-the-boundary-and-see-what-happens moments. A lot of manipulating jealous insecurities for the sake of a reaction. Judge that as you will. No safewords needed for anyone, especially not Rachel, as she was a starving surface of insatiable holes.

But if you’re just here for hot-girl-gets-harem, this is it.
