Staring at a tragic Christmas window display in New York, Stella never expects the man in the bowtie—Aiden—to offer her a job fixing it. Fresh out of prison and craving a fresh start, she jumps at the chance. Little does she know that window dressing isn’t the only thing about to get spicy this holiday season.
What I Loved
- Aiden is the ultimate sunshine hero. His optimism and sweetness feel like a warm holiday hug.
- Stella’s journey from rock bottom to rediscovering her confidence is super inspiring.
- The grumpy-sunshine dynamic with Stella as the grump? YES. So fun.
- The Christmas vibes! New York, department store magic, and all the festive feels.
- The steam. Tessa Bailey knows how to turn up the heat without overshadowing the story.
Favorite Moments
- When Aiden first meets Stella and can’t resist her honesty, even if she’s criticizing his store.
- Stella owning her creative vision with those windows—empowering and awesome!
- Every single time Aiden says something ridiculously sweet and supportive.
Why It’s Not 5 Stars
While it’s a super fun and cozy holiday romance, the plot is pretty straightforward, and some parts felt a little rushed. Still, it’s so heartwarming that I can overlook it!
Final Thoughts
This book is like sipping hot cocoa under a blanket on a snowy night—sweet, warm, and a little indulgent. If you’re into holiday romances with heart, heat, and hope, this is one to add to your list. I’m definitely picking it up again next Christmas!

⭐️⭐️⭐️
Parts were cute (Aiden is so sweet), pretty Christmasy, but parts were so awkward/uncomfortable. There was too much back and forth of emotions, and the inner-monologues felt repetitive. The sexual tensions seemed overpowering the plot and the characters logic.
I liked the second-chance growth for Stella.
