Summary:
Stella was just released from prison and she’s trying to get her life together. After her release from prison, her parents gave her enough money to start a new life in New York City. Christmas is quickly approaching and Stella is having a hard time adjusting to her new freedom. One day, Stella finds herself entranced by a horrific storefront window design at Vivant, a luxury department store. It’s always been Stella’s dream to design storefront windows. It’s not until Aiden, Vivant’s part-owner/manager, asks Stella her opinion of the design that she realizes she really would do anything to have that job. Aiden casually mentions that they’re looking to hire a new window designer after this fiasco. Stella goes back and forth on whether to apply…. I mean who would hire an ex con? But what if Stella can take a chance on herself? Will she get the job? Hopefully she will, because now she really can’t stop thinking about that bow tie wearing manager.

My thoughts:
Tessa Bailey does it again… the steam

emotional funny inspiring lighthearted fast-paced

Tessa Bailey was one of those authors that I didn’t understand at first, but she truly has depth and takes time to create these narratives. Aiden and Stella were just so sweet and I really loved their dynamic. We have a fast-paced insta-love, a total golden retriever MMC and FMC who is looking for a second chance at life. Can I just say, I appreciate that the MMC is a DELIGHTFULLY HAPPY PERSON and not just a grumpy rich white dude.

I also appreciated the lack of third act breakup and instead angst while they tried to get together despite being an employee/employer.
think Bailey did a great job depicting a person who came out of the justice system

We stan Christmas escapism, espesh the torrid love affair between a felon window dresser and her hot boss

Hey, I’ll take it.

4.5

WHAT THE FUCK IS AIDEN COOK? I was completely shook the entire book. I don't think my jaw has dropped so many times reading. I would like to claim that I have been personally victimized by Tessa Bailey because I was not expecting any of it. Was I mad? Absolutely not. It was perfect. They were perfect. Aiden is perfect. But don't tell him that cause it will go to his head. My only gripe is that these bitches were claiming love after 2 WEEKS. Like please chill the fuck out. But like it was so cute. But like 2 weeks. Come on. So for that reason, 4.5 stars.

Tessa, I love and support you, but NO.

Wasn't bad, but I had no desire to pick it back up or find out how it ended.
