The Dark

Lemony Snicket

4.17 AVERAGE

I would read anything Lemony Snicket wrote because he is that talented. It was nice to see his writing in a shorter form.

Oh, Mister Snicket. You somehow manage to bring out the most charming qualities in potentially frightening situations. First with your reports on the Baudelaire orphans, and now with this book.

It's a short and easy read with simplistic drawings. The story is told in a pretty clever way, and the ending made me smile. I remember being afraid of the dark as a child and I think that this book will help others struggling with the same thing.

I normally read picturebooks through before I buy them, but this was made by Lemony Snicket and Jon Klassen, so it was a blind instabuy.

I actually got a little spooked.
