 I adored this book.
Danan will now be an instant buy for me. The writing was clever, the love story was so tender, the character arcs so poignant, and the tension was steeeeamy. I feel like this was one of the hottest books I've read despite the limited amount of "activity on page".

This book had my pleasantly surprised , I came in expecting nothing but smut with very little plot mixed in. And came out reading one of my top reads for this year. Clara and Josh’s story is not only heartwarming but their personal journeys to self love and acceptance within was inspiring. The only reason I have it 4.5 stars is that I would say is I was a little let down by the level that the actual smut is written. It is a tad juvenile for your average smut reader, especially because this book has so much to do with porn . However still tastefully done and quite spicy . Other than that I can not say enough good things about this story. I didn’t want it to end.

SPOILERS// so i liked the story i thought it was cool to read about a very open sexual person thats a sex worker fall in love with someone very non-sexual and closed off.

So it was cute, it could have been a quicker read but i guess i wouldn’t say this was a book i had trouble putting down. i was invested for-sure but not ~super~ invested.

i had a little cringe moment reading about some of the seggsual scenes just because some of them felt kinda …?awkward? to me.

I LOVED the concept of their website shameless. i think the message and whole idea of it is brilliant and im wondering if and why thats not a real thing?

I think i prefer more heart wrenching, tear-jerking, heart shattering, plot twisty type of book. it was definitely spicy, considering it’s literally about a pornstar. i would say 4.5/ 5 on the spice level.

sooo i always have a hard time determining weather this is a rec or not because i liked it but i dont really think this would be a book i specifically recommend. still glad i read it tho! so i guess i *kinda* recommend it, dont hate me if u hate it!

I didn’t have high expectations for this book but it ended up being cute and a fun read. I loved the characters and how complete opposites they were.

Clara comes from a rich family that has high expectations of her. She is the no-nonsense everything by book kind. When her childhood crush asks her to uproot her life and move across the country to be his roommate she doesn't say no and of course it backfired on her. When Clara lands in LA her childhood crush Everette breaks the news that his band is going on tour and he won't be able to spend the summer with Clara so he rented out the other bedroom in his house to a guy named Josh.
Josh Conners or known to the majority of people as “Josh Darling” is newly single and looking for somewhere to live. He answers a craigslist ad for a room to rent and soon realizes his new roommate wasn't expecting to live with a stranger especially not someone from the adult entertainment industry.

I loved how open the communication was in this book. I didn't expect all the realism and world outlook on women’s pleasure and the adult entertainment industry.

Is it steamy? Yes. Is the premise fun? Yes. Is there an amazing slow burn? Also yes. I just hate when romance books use miscommunication as the main plot device instead of say the actual plot. And the bones were there!!!!! Huge case with the DA, election campaigns, family dynamics and scandal. It made me wish the editor and pushed harder for a rewrite because everything else about this book had 5 star potential.
