Enjoyable, with a fun Squirrel Girl crossover.

Less Old-Man, more of the female characters and you'll be golden.

This was by far the best of the Civil War II books I've read so far - nice artwork, an *actual plot*, and - gasp! - relevancy to the Civil War which actually makes logical and dramatic sense. I'm a huge Squirrel Girl fan, so her inclusion was a happy bonus!

That Squirrel Girl team-up was so fun!

The Civil War stuff got so full of drama though. Everything Laura said about it was so right. I'm glad she's getting out of there before it gets worse.

Ah! Wolvie! (x4, technically). I heart this series so much. In case you can't tell, I am a Laura fangirl. But I wouldn't be rating this 5 stars if it wasn't worth reading. I have read a couple of really terrible X-23 stories, and this is not one of those. The Civil War II part would have brought down the tone of the TPB, I think, but Tom Taylor did a truly excellent job meshing that mess of an event into a coherent, and even engaging storyline! Amazing, I know!

Recommended for: people who love (or don't) Laura Kinney, not necessary to enjoy the Civil War II event storyline in order to enjoy this!

This was super moving. And barely ties in with Civil War, which is good.

I was nervous about the Civil War 2 tie in but this is a solid collection, well written at every turn with great, evocative art. Laura is a great Wolverine and tying into Old Man Logan (with some bonus Squirrel Girl!) really worked well. This is a great series.
