This book was pretty good overall! In the style of early King, it had the villain and the hero as well as a little bit of supernatural phenomenon. The last 200-300 pages had me at the edge of my seat and had me feeling like one of the town folk, obsessed with their antique.

This book was a lot. As always, SK amazed me with his story telling and intense world building. This was not a happy book, but most of his works rarely are. It was intense and devastating at times. I enjoyed it for the plot and the story. Norris is my hero.

First time reading this King novel and I liked it well enough. Despite the strong plot points and intriguing characters King’s writing style was occasionally off putting. I would read it again!
