Oh where should I start! THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ!!!! I received an ARC of this fabulous novel! I absolutely couldn't put it down! This is now one of my faves! Danny and Ryan completely tugged on my heart strings and didn't let go! And this totally helped me live out my dream of dating a hockey player ;) 5 out of 5 stars for sure from me!

sweet little novella. I won't mind reading the rest of them at a later time. not sure if the other ones are about Danny or someone else.

I enjoyed this story. I read it in like 3 hours. It was a quick read. I did feel everything was rushed but it was a cute love story to read when you have a couple of hours to waste. Ryan was a sweetheart and he never did anything to make me not like him or ask WHY?. HIs mom was a real piece of work and I am happy he put her in her place from the beginning. I also like Danny. SHe didnt let anyone walk all over her and despite what she went through, all her hardships, she always kept her head up.

I really loved this one to start. Danny is really a unique character in the things she's been through. And their first meeting is great. I love that he's enjoying some mad angry birds :)

I also love Ryan. Sweet and sexy and loyal and fiery - he's a great POV to be with to get the whole picture

but I'm not sure I got anything new from this. Although this one has some great slants on the same ol' New Adult story, it's short and sweet and - I think because it's short, lacks some of the things to make it really stand out on it's own.

Although they talk about it and attend one game, we don't get a lot of Ryan's Hockey stuff.
And we have Danny playing violin.....once. The things that should make this unique...aren't brought out.

but it's a great start to a series and I will definitely keep reading!

Oh the places this storyline could have gone. It was a sweet romance between Danny and Ryan, but I wanted so much more out of the wrong side of the track storyline. There were snippets of just how bad Ryan's family (mainly his mother) could have made life for them, but then things would get tied up and the storyline would move on. In the end, I was left being happy that Danny and Ryan got what they wanted but a little disappointed that things were explored more and that path having a few more bumps.

I found everything about this book to be juvenile, from the writing to the characters to the plot. I don't really like 1st person point of view to begin with, but having 1st person point of view that switches between main characters is even worse. However, I am going to read the next one in the series, only because it got better ratings than this one.

This was almost a DNF for me, I got stuck at 45% and set it down, not picking it up again for a month but I really wanted to finish it as I also own #2...

My biggest hurdle was the writing itself - it was really really dry. ALL telling, no showing.

There were a couple of sweet bits involving a violin and hockey games, but otherwise this was not a deep story, and it wasn't a steamy romance, just a rich-hockey-kid meets poor-girl insta-love.

I think I lost brain cells.

This book would've been a great read if I was in 6th grade and picking up my first romance book. Cringey, childish, and overall eye-roll inducing, I would not recommend this to anyone that has grown out of the insta-love trope. The main characters should've been called Flat Danny and Flat Ryan because they gave nothing the entire book. The scene where Ryan is all of a sudden a changed man after their first date at the homeless shelter? Give me a break.

When Ryan was like "I didn't sleep with that girl because I love Danny" and then they make out in front of a group of peers? Gag me, and not in the sexy way.
