While I still feel that J.R. Ward's books are immensely readable, Crave proved to be the first time I've contemplated seriously giving her up. The plot of this book made absolutely no sense whatsoever, characters made choices that defied logic and seemed designed simply as a means to provide gratuitous scenes of torture. The central conflict of the story is convoluted and unclear - I have no idea what these people are fighting against and the rules of the game are ever changing. And I've finally reached the point where Ward's bending of the English language into her own unique form of slang is so ubiquitous and obvious that I can't ignore it and am constantly pulled out of the story to roll my eyes. I think I may have finally broken my Ward book-crack habit

Adian!!!!

I struggled to finish this one for some reason. It wasn't bad but I did find some parts boring. I am curious of how things are going to go down between Devina and Jim.

I just can't STAND the juvenile slang....made up as it is. Made me cringe EVERY TIME. I was a fan of BDB as well, but I had to stop for a bit. Please drop the forced 'cool' slang. My face goes all 'unsweetened lemonade' and I get a case of the 'get me outta heres'

I enjoyed the last chapter most of all.

Enjoyed listening to this book. I need to know more about Devina!

Another amazing story from JR Ward!!! She is such a gifted story teller, creating wonderful characters in very intricate worlds. I loved learning more about Jim, Eddie and Ad, and of course I love Dog!! This one was filled with the usual twists and unexpected turns, always keeping you guessing. I loved watching it all unfold, and wondering who would be redeemed. Great romantic tension with Grier and Isaac too!!!

This was one of the slowest reads... ever! How could this happen...? This is the first book I read from the Fallen Angel series and I have never experienced this with J.R Ward, well those were the Black Dagger Brotherhood books, but this? This was horrible. Absolutely slow paced, uninteresting characters, weak heroine, useless hero(es)... The antagonist, Devina, is the only character with some juice although she crept me out.

Right now, I'm thanking god for buying it on sale! Still a *grumble* waste of money *grumble*

I am scared for life, now I wonder how I will be reading the BDB books I bought a while ago... Time heals all... right?
