A lovely short story collection by Neil Gaiman. Had all the same imaginativeness, and the signature Giaman way of story telling. I always enjoy reading Gaiman, as he gives you all the clues to figure the story out for yourself, but tells it in such a way that you have no desire to put the book down even if you may know how it ends. Great read.

Audiobook: 05hr 29m

A narrative smorgasbord for fans of sharp and clever fiction. Each piece is delicious in a different way. Savour them. Give each time to breathe before you move on to the next if you can bear the waiting.

Short and to the point: M for Magic is good but all of the stories except for the Graveyard Book excerpt are in other recent Gaiman short story collections. That being said, the selection from [b:the Graveyard Book|2213661|The Graveyard Book|Neil Gaiman|http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51mo4YSDB-L._SL75_.jpg|2219449] has me dying to read the rest of it.

From the story "October in the Chair":
"'It's fine,' said October. His beard was all colors, a grove of trees in autumn, deep brown and fire orange and wine red, an untrimmed tangle across the lower half of his face. His cheeks were apple red. He looked like a friend; like someone you had known all your life."

The book gets a 4/5 rating. I really enjoyed the stories because Gaiman has a unique style, that is easy to read and yet it doesn't get boring reading it. I recommend this book to everybody who has just little time to read (or a lot of time, it doesn't matter to be honest) and likes well-written fantasy stories.

There was a slight sense of deja vu reading Gaiman's collection of stories targeted at younger readers since some of the stories were found in Smoke and Mirrors as well.

Introduction:

The Case of the Four and Twenty Blackbirds: 3

Troll Bridge: 4
Fühlt sich traditionell und gut an.

Don't Ask Jack: 2
Häh?

How to Sell the Ponti Bridge: 4
Haha!

October in the Chair: 5
Awwww! Genau das Richtige für mich.

Chivalry: 5
Was für eine Kombination.

The Price: 4
Was wohl die Zukunft bringt? ;_;

How to Talk to Girls at Parties: 3
Creepy!

Sunbird: 2

The Witch's Headstone: 4
Fühlt sich auch gut an.

Instructions: 4

40 Sterne ;)
