Nothing particularly exciting, but another fun addition to the series.

The politics of this one are intriguing but a bit slow to unfold and predictable. The romantic subplots feel pretty contrived for different reasons. One seems to come out of no where and lack any logic or reason, the other makes the girl look like a jerk or the guy an idiot. I wouldn't skip this one, but I wouldn't blame others for doing so.

I left this book unfinished for a while, and picked it back up recently so I can’t really give a full review like I normally do. Nevertheless, arguments about borders and cats realising cats from other clans are hot continue to be the main focus.
The general vibe of “we shouldn’t but we want to” is basically how this book can be summed up, along with “don’t touch my stuff”.
Overall a great book, I love some easy reading and cats are great so I’ll continue to work my way through the series
